Guitar Fetish XGP Bodies?

Re: Guitar Fetish XGP Bodies?

The price is right if they're good quality. I've never had any experience with GFS. Looking forward to hearing about your experience if you get one.

Re: Guitar Fetish XGP Bodies?

The shaping looks convincing. Many of the fancy topped examples seem to be out of stock. If it were not for the shipping costs and EU import charges, I would certainly consider one for a project Partsocaster.

Re: Guitar Fetish XGP Bodies?

I've heard mixed reviews on everything that I have found, so I wasn't sure if anyone on heer has had any hands on experience with them or not. Luckily, they don't cost much, so I might give one a try anyway, unless I come across something better.

Re: Guitar Fetish XGP Bodies?

The pics on their website look like computer renderings, instead of actual wood bodies. I bought a couple of their older bodies (like before they started selling the XGP ones) and of the 4 I bought, only one of them had holes in the right place (and the "good" one had a crooked neck pocket) They were really cheap, but I would have had to do a ton of work to them, to be able to use it. I've seen a couple posts on TDPRI from people who bought these, and they didn't have many complaints so they "should" be better than their old ones...
THat being said, you can usually find a parted out Squier body on Ebay for the same price, and all the holes will line up 100%...
I did buy a couple of the bodies on their "Factory Buyout" page, all 3 of those were better than the GFS branded ones... for what that's worth.
