Anybody ever done a Saga guitar kit? Or any kit? What are some good one's?

I've heard some horror stories about them, But I put 2 together and they
came out petty good ( Both strat style) you have to cut the headstock
(not to hard with a band saw) The necks are pretty good the frets
where dressed real good. The body is basswood sand sealed ready
to paint. The electronics and hardware are Garbage :saeek:
If you put good PuPs and hardware in it you'll have a pretty good
guitar. That's the funny part !!! New PuPs and hardware will cost
you more than the kit did ?? LOL !!

I did a saga tele once and I can agree with kmc - the body and neck isn't too bad but the hardware and electronics suck harder than the ladies in tj. I couldn't believe what they'd sent me was supposed to be called tuners. I thought Pings were pretty cheap - this was something that belonged on a toy. Honestly, for 120 vs 350 I'd say go with the Carvins.
