Guitar mount version of SD pup booster?

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
Anybody out there want one, or maybe even converted one?

And no duct tape solutions!

Re: Guitar mount version of SD pup booster?

I remember Evan talking about how this pedal originated as an on-board device before it became a pedal, but I could be wrong. If you can find a Bartolini TC5-Z, they're out there for a similar price, but you have to know how to wire them up. They allow you to control the boost amount, frequency of boost, and therefore allow room for user error. The Duncan is foolproof and readily available so it seems.

Re: Guitar mount version of SD pup booster?

i SO want this in my guitar ... i want for it to come on automatically in pos #2 and #4 in order to bring the volume up to the same as pos #1 and #5 ... that's all ... no adjustments, no freq shift, just a simple (6dB?) fixed boost in those two positions ...

alas, no room in the cavity for the little circuit or a superswitch

You are not wrong, Frank. The circuit started as a Duncan Designed circuit called the GEQ-1 Firestorm that was used by Jackson on the DK2FS Dinky Firestorm. The on-board version doesn't have the resonance switch.

If you want the on-board version, follow Artie's link above.
