Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

nothing is working i have tried every possible combination i dont get what is wrong, what am i supposed to plug this into! it comes out of the headphones, but not out of my speakers ahh!

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

I use my rca outs into a tube preamp-mixing board-into the line In on my
sound card. But I think if you use the 1/8" phono cable that came w/t the GP
it will work? Have you tried the head phone output into your sound card's
line In? You have to have the line in enabled in windows and the volume
slider 3/4 the way up or you'll never hear anything. keep at it ... you'll get
it.

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

I had the same problem, you have to plug your speakers into the headphone jack via that little green ended cord leading out from your speakers. It should work, just connect the audio cable they provide you with from the Stereo IN on your guitarport to the black hole on your soundcard, should work bro.

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

In fact, you don't even need the RCA Cable if you're just using computer speakers with the green wire, cause the speakers will plug into your guitarport headphone jack. hope this helped, i had the same dumb problem when i got it lol

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

i am eternally greatful! now it's through my speakers, i jsut have to figure out to record cause it's not accepting it but i'll try looking myself, that and the wire for the speaker cable is really short but im 1/2 way there guys thanks!

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

ok guys new problem... how do i get my cakewalk to record with this thing, i've only recorded w/ a mic and this thing isn't accepting it like theres no sound going into the program

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

I have a cable going from the L/R outputs from the GP to the Mic in on my soundcard if that helps :)

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

ok that didn't work, let me give you the specifics of how i have it set up, maybe tha will help. i have the green plug from my speakers plugged into the headphone jack, the "IN" wire plugged into the black jack on the sound card, the pink jack from my speakers plugged into the back of the sound card. i also tried plugging the RCA chords into the mic slot on my speakers, and in the pink slot on my sound card, neither send a signal to cakewalk. in the control panel of windows for recording it says i have 3 options "Guitarport" "Modem #1 Line Record" and "SB Audigy Audio [DC00]. then i have SB Audigy Audio enabled and i have "microphone" selected after i go to advanced...is this wrong? ahhh idk what to do i just wanna record!

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

you should be able to find the recorder options within cakewalk, and eventually you'll be able to select guitar port to record with........thats what i did

Re: Guitar Port Issues Help!!!

i think rifftracker costs another 100 bucks though. i bot the recording down better, cant hearmyself while im playing but i can jsut pop in headphones to get the tone the switch and record it works for now thanks everyone
