Guitar Pot Recommendation For Ibanez RG

My guitar tech recommended me these pots.

I have the pots installed. However the pots looks like a little higher from the body as you see.

The original ones weren't look like these.

1) Which pots do yu recommend for perfect fit?

2)
Are there more sensitive pots?

So that I would be able to make volume swells or change tone knob state easier.

Guitar Pot Recommendation For Ibanez RG

Nothing wrong with the height of those that I can see. You could try to loosen the set screw and see if you can wiggle them down a little but they look good to me.

There are many different styles of knob that you can swap out the chrome knurled ones you have on there currently.
I personally like speed knobs.
Keep in mind that pots have 2 spline types, fine and coarse. So with a knob that doesn’t have a set screw (and maybe some that do) you’ll want to find the right knob to fit the pots spline.
Fwiw, the Dimarzio pots are good ones.

Previously Pots start just right there from the body.

But now there is a little space between the knobs and the guitar body which is annoying.

You say It can be lowered when loosen the screws of the knobs. I'll try.

You “may” be able to lower it. Maybe not. It might be as low as it goes.
I have a guitar that I changed knobs on a wile back and they sit higher too so I know what you mean. I just left them on the guitar and I’m used to how it feels now.

Those knobs really don't look high. But, you can use a star type lock washer between the pot and inside of the cavity. If you already have one in there you can try stacking a second one if it will leave enough clearance up top.
Otherwise, you can buy some long bushing ("long shaft") pots and you can use a nut on the bushing, inside the cavity, to adjust the shaft, up top, to any height that you want.

Oh you may have a nut on the underside of the pot stem
Inside the cavity
If this nut is too high, you get the low pot knob thing
As long as they clear the body I would just play it

Certainly it's just an OCD thing
Try to work through it

I'd rather have the knob a smidgen high, than scratch the paint. And besides, the audience will never know. ;)

Re: Guitar Pot Recommendation For Ibanez RG

Ok. You can lower those down closer to the body easily. All you need is for the pot itself to sit deeper down in the body. You can do that by adding another nut or just a washer (or two) to the pot's shaft INSIDE the control cavity. Adding a washer there will pull the part sticking out of the guitar down into the body, and then you can adjust the knob until it is a business-card's width away from the body and tighten down the set screws.
