Hi There,
I wondering if someone can advise me on this. As part of a project I want to make a 2 X 12 guitar cabinet. I would like to use them with my 1 X 12 combos which are 8 ohms on the output and also with my guitar head which has variable ohm settings.
From what I understand guitar speakers are typically 8 ohms. So if I were to wire the speakers in parallel I would get a total 4 ohm load. If I wired them in series I would get a 16 ohm load.
Now my combos are 8 ohm and whether I choose series/parallel the speaker load does not match my combo's output impedance. Is this an issue? What are my options for a 2 X 12 cabinet?
