So there's this company called MIRC that takes in a lot of the warranty returns for all the Fender family of brands and others. If they are broken, they fix them up and resell them instead of sending them to the dump. I love that. Sometimes they'll even do fun new paint schemes and get creative with it. But by and large, it looks like a lot of them are relatively minor things and then they just make sure it's all ok and resell it. MIRC sells to dealers who then sell them as B-stock or seconds. All in all, pretty cool. I'm thinking about signing up to be a dealer just to have access to some of this stuff.
Check out some of their videos. It's real cool stuff.
They also are associated with Franklin Guitar Works which resells some of this stuff. Some good deals to be had for sure.

AND, they bought MightyMite and for the guitars that can't be saved they part them out on that site under "Reclaimed Parts"
mightymite.com
Just an interesting little niche of the guitar world where they are trying to make the most of stuff that would have been trashed otherwise. I dig it!
