Used Hamer USA or new/used Tokai are what comes to mind for something along the lines of a Gibson that is better value for money (and very probably a better guitar imho).
There are loads of other options but just two that come to mind apart from the PRS/Epiphone options mentioned.
Tokai seem to have various pricing options based on country of manufacture.
As Benjy also mentioned there is also Heritage which has a good name although I have never played one.
They started when the workers from the original Gibson plant didn´t want to move when the factory was relocated if I´m not mistaken.
Depending on where you are located some brands may be more readily available than others.
