guitar wiring help needed

Hi, I'm hoping I can get some ideas for wiring, I have a 97 Cheruti from Brazil that the wiring is messed up on so I'm looking for ideas on how to go through it. it has 2 Duncan humbuckers (7.84 and 8.50) and a piezo under the saddle (passive ,.79) a 3 way toggle for the humbuckers with 1 v and 1 tone, and 1 v for the piezo, out to a stereo output jack. there currently is a bit of noise (hum) when trying to use a stereo cord but not when you use a mono cord( but naturally the piezo doesn't work then) I would like to pull all the wiring and leave the pickups and update the rest. Thanks for any help!

I have no idea how to help you
but I would love to see full on shots of that guitar
it looks unique as heck

So there is no hum from the magnetic pickups, just the piezo? I'd start there. Is there a chance you can contact the company who made it? I've never seen a passive piezo system in an electric before, so I am baffled here. I wonder (when it is working) how the balance is...it seems like the piezo would be really quiet.

you are correct, very quite, must've run a stereo cord to an a/b to a acoustic preamp for the piezo, the hum is present in both the mag and piezo side when I use a stereo plug (I believe the ground is bleeding?) no hum when using a standard cord, i'm thinking maybe a push pull pot to totally isolate the two from each other?

Re: guitar wiring help needed

Seymour website and stewmac have wiring diagrams for HH
Pickups. Once it's wired correctly for passive add the piezoelectric on its own circuit on an isolated output via stereo jack. Try easy fixes first, chase each pickup signal and ,every ground separately. I would swap the output jack and cable for new for starters. Good luck. Don /arlingtonguitarshop.com

Re: guitar wiring help needed

I just ordered a set of stacked concentric 500k pots, so three way and stacked for the mag pickups, and a single pot for the piezo pickup out to stereo, should work. thanks

Re: guitar wiring help needed

Parker has passive piezos... Stereo output to a 2nd preamp, so parker diagrams may help.
