Guitars... Gone.

I was thinking of your plight and remembered something that has worked occasionally for me in the past. Mention to some at school who has a big mouth how the cops came and dusted for prints and they told you there were a bunch of good ones. Then add that you just want your guitars back and would be willing to forget the whole thing if they just showed up on your back door. Sometimes you get lucky with that kind of thing.

Thats a good idea. Perhaps embellish it with . . . "Yeah, the security camera got some good shots." :laugh2:

Re: Guitars... Gone.

These kind of things suck, despite my username. Looks like they were taken for money to me.. famous brands.. Thieves want money. If all of the guitars would have been taken, there would have been an awful lot to carry.. And for some reason, people don't mind someone carrying a geetar around, but crab you OWN TV and someone willc all the cops.. Good luck with the case!

Re: Guitars... Gone.

It definitely sounds like someone you know did it. If it was just random thieves it seems like they would of taken other things. Especially small valuables like watches, jewelry, laptop, etc. Do you know of anyone who might have done it? Anyway I hope you get them back, or at least some insurance money for new gear.

Re: Guitars... Gone.

I deeply sympathise brother.

I cannot even think the thought of any of my guitars getting stolen. It makes me cringe and hurt in 100 places at once. If that happened I'd just bust out the cheap classical and play blues till the cows come home

Re: Guitars... Gone.

I know EXACTY how you feel right now :yell: 2 of my babies where stolen !!
My LP and 73'Strat (Ironic) I knew exactly who took them, The police
couldn't help me Cuz' I had no evidance. I couldn't kill him cuz' his mommy
(my wife) was there to protect him. I almost got divoriced because of
this incendent. But for the love of my own son and advise of friends and
family I decieded to stand down (BUT NEVER FORGET !) A year later the
neck from my 73' Strat showed up on ebay! Cost me $400 to get it back!
Payback will be a BITCH !! it's just a matter of time... :saeek: Good luck
getting yours back. My guess it's someone you know aswell.

thats tweaked. if you catch them, give 'em a smack from me.

good luck with it dude.

Re: Guitars... Gone.

I wish you the best of luck man in getting back. Although my guitars arent expensive or rare, i would hate to lose them. Its not like a stereo or something, its sentimental, something you love. Again, best of luck

This really does work. Intimidation is the mightiest of all persuasion tools, and you don't have to lift a finger. This has ALWAYS worked for me in the past.

when one of my younger cousins stole some stuff from me and I knew it was him I did the same thing. I was like yeah the cops came and got prints, I'll know who it is within a day or two. And as I was sharpening a large knife one day I told the kid how once I found out who did it, I planned on cutting off their fingers, one at a time, then their hands. Very convincingly too, that was fun. I had my stuff returned the same day and I don't think he ever stole anything ever again.
