Always loved the artwork and have been fortunate enough to have owned a few old Eighties Kline/Knapp Kramers and Dan Lawrence B.C. Riches as well as an Ibanez RG550 Swirl Mutt and the Jackson Glow In The Dark Soloist Custom I have now. New or Old...lets see those cool crazy paint jobs!!! Post 'em if you got one or if you had one you loved and let go!! I'll start off with a few I've owned.

Thanks. I've been playing it a bit more lately but I need to put a fatter neck on it. One gig it was fine and the next my hand was killing me. I'm so used to fatter necks that I can't play comfortably on it anymore. I've also swapped the JB for a Demon and done some refurbishing of the Floyd.

Apologies for the stock photo, can't find a picture of the one I had. Jackson Dinky with an awesome "Cobalt Swirl." The pickups were changed to a John Petrucci set (Liquifire and Crunchlab...loved the LF but didn't care for the CL)

One of the prettiest guitars I've ever owned...wish I had kept it but I've sorta moved away from Floyds.

What would you swap out for the Original Neck? I like the Demon though I've only had one Bridge Model in the Red Snakeskin Jackson and a Neck Model in a Les Paul Copy. Nice pickups once you figure out what they are for sound/tone wise. Sure the Floyd was in need if it was the original and it was a player.
It's just cool to hear that old girls getting some love and you're playing it out.

I'd either hunt down an old Focus Beak neck (they are chunky) or get one from Warmoth with the Boatneck profile and the Warhead headstock. Not too fond of their Slapshot headstock. I'd keep the maple/rosewood and MOP inlays if possible.

VERY Cool!!! Being an 80s metal fanboi, Ive always loved the Kramer Kline graphics and all the custom painted RGs and guitars the dudes used to play back then. I dont think Ive ever had any graphic guitars. The coolest ones Ive ever had are the Washburn WM526 that had a one of a kind finish on it. Called it Solar flare IIRC. Per Washburn, it was the only one ever done in that finish.. Wish Id never have sold it.. What an awesome axe. But in low light, it looked black with gray specks. In light, the specs lit up in a rainbow of colors and changed in the light. Awesome!!

Here: (pics dont do justice to the finish)

Ironically, I have recently learned that Guild used a similar finish way back when:
you cant see the colors in these pics tho

Generally not for me. But I like when other people use em, and I have seen some I really like, just not for my personal guitars. I dig the paisleys and some of the vintage sign-type stuff, or art deco artwork.
