Guys - Lil Night Train is $149 + $50 rebate

Re: Guys - Lil Night Train is $149 + $50 rebate

Enjoy. They are great little amps for home use and surprisingly loud. Mine's going nowhere soon.

At the moment it just runs through the Celestion in my Trace-Elliot Speed-Twin - I'm not even sure what it is. Will have to go and check, be back in a minute...

Thanks. I've sold my cabs, so I'm gonna have to pick something up. Definitely used, toying with the idea of a 2x10, if not a 1x12.

I got one assuming it would help fill out my live sound when I use the Studio 2, also a 2W amp.

Was a waste of time for me, as it doesn't sound nearly as good as the S2, doesn't play as loud, can be painfully bright, and sound very 2 dimensional compared to the S2.

Not a waste of money, however, as I do enjoy using it with headphones for practice.

But, as a guitar head? *shrug* Not a fan. :)

I hope you get a lot of use/enjoyment out of yours, though!

Aw, don't be a downer! LOL

I had to search - the S2 is Jeff Bober's East Amp.?

It is multiple times the price, though. I've got a Budda 18 and it's just neutered trying to play it at home.

Hopefully it will fit the bill for my needs.

LOL, really, not trying to be! Just sharing my experience with it. I admit, I was expecting it to do more than it is built for!

Yes, Jeff Bober. Yes, you can buy, like 14 LNT's for the same price. :)

Hopefully it will fit the bill for my needs.
Honestly, for $100, you really can't go wrong!

Like I said, as a headphone amp, I really dig it using an OD in front of it. I have even tracked songwriting demos with it using the line out.

It's small, fits right on top of my desk, and works fine for that application. I've not been able to find a speaker cab to match to it that I've fallen in love with, yet.

Kidding aside, I do appreciate honest input.

Folks keep raving about the Fender SCXD and I hated the dirt voices on it, even after a speaker change.

Love my Budda 18, but it's too much amp. Figured I'd give this a try for the price of a pedal and pick up a decent used cab and see if it works for me.

Re: Guys - Lil Night Train is $149 + $50 rebate

Well, since you are already familiar w Bober Watts, even the Studio 2 is too much amp for most home use, as you can imagine. Jeff's amps like to WORK.

Stoked on the headphone out. Wife is trying to get prego and this could save me

Re: Guys - Lil Night Train is $149 + $50 rebate

I hate to burst someone's bubble but I been thru this with night train 15. The rebate does not work if you bought it from Musician's Friend or Guitar Center. It's in the fine print on the form. I think there is a few more stores they forgot to mention because they would not give me the $100 rebate on NT15 from Sweetwater. They told me it's an instant rebate of $100 from $399.00 and there will be no further rebate from Vox.
