Hagstrom Fantomen vs. Eastwood RD

Hello

I'm searching for a RD Style Guitar for modern rock n roll.

The natural finished one Epiphone offers is ugly a.f. and the Gibson is too expensive.
Now I'm torn between the Hagstrom Fantomen and the Eastwood RD Artist.

Both seem to be very similar and I don't know which of them is better.

Any opinions on them?

Re: Hagstrom Fantomen vs. Eastwood RD

From my experience Eastwoods generally take a fair amount of elbow grease to get them to play as they should. I have come across few that are good to go right away but usually you'll be doing a fret level or something on them. Other than that they're usually pretty well made.

The modern Hag's seem to be solid guitars IMO, I've played a bunch but never worked on them. I'd make sure to get my hands on one before I made the decision. I kind of like the Eastwood look better than the Hag, the Hag looks a little anemic to me visually.

The built quality was my biggest concern with these guitars.

I like the design of both. The classic RD Style Design of the Eastwood and the more abstract looking design of the Hagstrom.

I informed myself a bit more about both and if it's just about built qulaity I would absolutely go with the Hagstrom.
