She didn't seem to understand when I told her it was a non-master volume head and needed to be cranked to get the valves cooking...some people :yell:

It doesnt count as practice unless the people across the street can listen and give an opinion too.

Re: Hahaha my sister told me to turn down because the walls were shaking!

Its really not practice untill the boys (and ladies) in blue show up and give you their opinion.

I'll go pretty far to please my 'fans'. That includes turning down the volume when it's all getting too loud for them. We all have to make sacrifices in life :fingersx:

You should learn Iron Man flawlessly !!! you will be amazed what would happen while you are in process to nail it perfectly ....

Re: Hahaha my sister told me to turn down because the walls were shaking!

Nice one! Wall-shaking i suppose is an entry-level reason to turn down a touch... Iron man, yeah, that'll excite the clan...

Word.
It's like practicing in front of an audience. They don't even have to pay. It's a win-win situation.

Re: Hahaha my sister told me to turn down because the walls were shaking!

The other day at rehearsal, we were doing "Already Gone" (it's a regular that we do), and we were really in our groove. After we finished, the bass players wife (who was upstairs in her office) gave us a real loud "WOOOO HOOOOO!!!"

I love when she does that.

Re: Hahaha my sister told me to turn down because the walls were shaking!

I thought I was bad-ass in the dorms cranking my amps so loud the unrinals down the hall were vibrating.

Then a few Summers later one kid in the dorms plugged his bass into a PA and it could be heard on the other side of campus.

Suddenly...making the urinals move wasn't nearly as impressive.

Good point. It's rock and roll... crank it! :smokin:

Re: Hahaha my sister told me to turn down because the walls were shaking!

Btw... it's irrelevant whether it's a master or a non master head, both have to be turned up to sound good ;)
