Hamer Daytona..Lew and others..

Just found a ridicoulous cheap Daytona with a maplebody.

Anyone knows anything about those??
Borrowed a friends Daytona once, his was a Ashbody one, with duncans and a nice Wilkinson trem, sounded fab.
But this one looks old

make sure it's a US made Daytona .. I think I've seen Korean made ones with black headstocks, but I'm not sure.

also, AFAIK, the original Daytonas were ash bodies, then switched to alder some time in the mid 90s.

offhand, I don't recall seeing a US made Daytona with a painted headstock, but I'm just not positive about that.

you can probably find some info on the Hamer fan club site, and there's also a forum, where you may be able to verify that photo.

Curly's right. That may be an import. The USA Daytonas had a natural headstock.. They were, BTW, great guitars. SO were the T-51s.
