NOT!!!!!:firing:

Edited to add: I would like to get that Hamer Korina Standard from them because it's cool looking and I bet it plays GREAT but it is also 12 guitars after this lil cutie I own, my Mini Standard.

That's the only Standard I am gassing for....
I had it in my hands for 10 minutes last year, and I am still dreaming about that one.

The rest is covered with this one :

Those Standards with 3 minibuckers are awesome looking beasts! They say that they have Lollar minibuckers, I didn't know Lollar made minibuckers. I also like the one Hamer makes with 3 P90 pickups and a 5way switch. I'd have a hard time choosing.

My dream is a black stained quilt top one......

Owners, how do they play in comparo to the gib?

Stiffer feel to bends and such (even with bigger frets), but also a slower attack than an all mahogany Gibbo (notes just seem to "explode" on a Gibson). Hamer Standard is more Les Paul-ish than Explorer-ish in attack.

IME, the USA Hamers are much better built, but I prefer the feel (better balance, better neck shape) and playability of the real deal.

Normally the mini-humbuckers in frames should be compatible with P-90s (soapbar, not dogear) without wood changes. That would be interesting. I don't know whether Hamer's frames fall into that category, though.

My experience is very different, as the maple cap tends to really make the notes jump with a nice quick attack. Then the note blooms behind that from the mahogany. The Korina ones are differnt, more upper mids and "air".

You can custom order any neck carve on any Hamer too. They're a bit pricey but worth the wait.

Here's a Post about them

Thanks!! I do like the lack of pickguard too!! However, I personally really LOVE the look of mine with the mirror on ebony..

I can live with what you say is different. Mine is less explosive without the 500T tho.. haha 59b and custom in the bridge.

Bloodrose, come to the Dean Owners Open House in February and you can play my Hamer Standards and judge for yourself what they are like. Gotta warn you, give your wife the credit cards first. :approve:
