Handles - Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

So, I just went through my second handle on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe...absolutely love the amp but am unlucky on the handles. :kabong: Both just came off and both were Fender/OEM parts.

Any suggestions/alternatives?

Yeah look on Amazon for a heavy duty replacement!! That's what I did, after the" dogbone" handle on my Blues Jr. Broke!! Luckily
in was in my carpeted living room!!! Good Luck.

Thanks a ton! The rubber handle broke on one side and thankfully the other side help up so as the amp did not crash on the ground...but I will check for that because I love this amp but really want a good handle.

IMO, fitting a heavier duty lifting handle is only a temporary solution. The handle design is only really meant for raising the amplifier just enough to get it inside a flight case.

From an ergonomics perspective, better solutions would be some combination of;
1) a pair of recessed handles similar to the type used on some Marshall 4x12 loudspeaker cabinets.
2) removable castors
3) a loudspeaker with a neodymium magnet
4) a professional quality flight case.

Ha! Well, I don't understand the overall design of this handle...looks like it is designed to break. lol I do like the recessed handle idea, the tolex is torn up like crazy so I may just try and install those! The flight case would be nice...but have too many other things in pipepline that requires $$$ to go that route. lol
