so not only am i broke but i have no idea what she would actually want for a birthday present. so i recorded the death metal birthday song (Dethklok) and i'll put it on in the car later before the family gets together to go to dinner

edit: or the quad-tracked version http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8347221

i fully understand the vocals blow. i left lots of pops and mistakes and **** in because i hate singing and just wanted to get it over with. hopefully the other parts aren't too bad though.

all the guitars are my BC rich gunslinger with a duncan distortion in it through my PODxt. bass is my SX p-bass through the XT as well. i know i broke a cardinal rule of death metal by making the bass fairly audible, but i like bass. haha

also, i cant decide if i want to quad-track the guitars or not. theyre just doubled as it is. lemme know what you think.

Will listen later on, but Death had pretty audible bass and they were the best of them all!

hehe, awesome. I can't listen too loud at work, but sounded just like dethklok's at low volume. she's gonna love it!

i recorded a quad-tracked version. not sure which i like better. quaded theres less definition, but its definitely a huger guitar sound

Ha ha, yeah sounds pretty cool! The vocals aren't too bad actually, althugh they're too high in the mix.
Nice guitar playing and a cool tone.

yeah i tend to put vocals too high. this time it was on purpose though, cause odds are she'll have no idea what im saying. needed to make them a bit more decipherable to non-metal ears.

Well, I had no idea what you were saying. I don't care, I don't listen to the lyrics most of the time anyway, I'm listening to the new Vader album right now and I have no idea WTF Peter's going on about.

well the delivery went pretty well. a nice mix of shock & amusement. haha

are duncan distortions better than invaders at death metal? (in your opinion)
