Happy new guitar day?

Re: Happy new guitar day?

It's their new marketing strategy. Instead of sending you the catalog, you just get a guitar in the mail. They know none of us gear whores had the guts to return a nice guitar.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

This is the way the higher power telling you to buy Duncans to try in that guitar from MF untill you'll find the perfect match.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

If it's "supposed to be yours", you should pay for it. Haven't you ever made a mistake at work? Wouldn't you appreciate someone trying to make it right? I'm not trying to piss in your Cheerios, but keep in mind that there is another side to this story.

Low end ESP way better then Squires and Epi's even if it is made in Indonesia. You have to contact them and find out how it got sent to you , it is the right thing to do.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

MF will eventually realise that something has gone wrong when an irate customer contacts them to ask, "where's my EC-256, dude?"

It possible that MF will investigate and discover their error. It is also possible that they will just send the intended customer another guitar and claim for the "lost" one on insurance.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

Thats the MF Guitar of the Month Club subsciption. The first guitar is sent absolutely free, and you should have received the form to either keep it, and receive 11 guitars of the year billed at the price stated on the contract, or send the guitar back at no cost or obligation.

Exactly, right? Columbia House Guitar Club -- with the little stamps.

IANAL, but I don't think they can compel him to return merchandise that he didn't ask them to send.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

It was addressed to me. I didn't open up someone else's guitar. THAT would have been wrong.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

I am not gonna tell you what to do, nor judge, but I have two thoughts here:

1.) I can't help but think of Kharma at a moment like this. I do believe what goes around comes around.
2.) Do you think the Ex might have something g to do with this? Because if so, that can't be good!

1.) Karma may be rewarding me for all my good deeds.
2.) ****... I hope your wrong, dude.

Re: Happy new guitar day?

Dang... wish it got sent here.
In all honesty, they cant make you pay for it. It is entirely an error on their part. You are in no way liable for it... They will send a new guitar out to the intended customer, and write that one off.. If you did contact them, I can see where they may ask for you to return it at their expense. Prolly give you some kind of in-store credit.... but if it'll help you sleep at night, send it this way...lol.
