Is the wizard considered a D profile? I always thought of it to be too flat to be a D?
That was my understanding but I don't consider myself an expert in any way....feel free to ignore the "D shaped".

4) Controls placed out of the way of picking hand
9) No gold hardware (looks good, but doesn't last)
Agreed. I don't actually own an SSS guitar, though I wouldn't be opposed to it for specific applications and genres. In the end, though, my bridge probably needs to be a humbucker. Whether it's splittable or not depends on what I'm using the guitar for.I wouldn't ever use signature guitars onstage. Also, I need a humbucker in the bridge no matter what.
So your fine if the frets cut your hand and body is 15 pounds? Will it tune and intonate properly... Done
