has anybody tried the gravity storm yet?

Haven't tried the GS yet, but I can tell you that the Super D with a 36th neck is a beautiful combo. Very versatile, and will take you anywhere in hard rock and metal that you may want to go.

I'd recommend their D Activator-X ,very musical for a high output pickup .I also have a Megadrive in a mahogany body with floyd rose and it's not the right pickup for that combination - very middy to the point of nasalness (apparently not a word according to spell check? )

My Charvel fusion has taken to it really well. Its basswood tough so i think its at home in there.

I use a Tone Zone and a 36th neck. Works beautifully as well. Of course, it's not in an LP.

I get where you're coming from. I don't think that experimenting with something a little more "off-the-wall" is a bad thing, but to each their own.

When I was looking into the pair last night I immediately thought of you since you're a big supporter of each. I'll probably end up with either the SD or 36th bridge with a 36th neck. Of course, this is subject to change before lunch.

Ignoring SuperD…

PG/PG
PAF/PAF
59/59
BB1/BB2

In order of preference, roughly. Might swap the order of BB's and 59's occasionally. But honestly, I like all of those would be just fine. Prefer PG's to all others…
