the Yamaha Wes Borland signature model? In the picture I saw of it there is something that sticks out from the side of the nut and I have no idea what it is? I'm not that big on the guitar just curious what it is.

it's a lever to clamp the nut lock.... so you don't need allen keys... Yamaha has it on a few models

I can't quite figure out how that one works, but I have seen a strange locking nut system with the locking mechanism sitting off to the side like that. The page you linked to mentions a quick-change trem system, meaning its probably what I mentioned, a way of unlocking the entire locking nut instead of 3 locks like normal locking nuts have.
