So a month or so ago was drinking beer while on the net and was reading up on the BKP juggernaught with its ceramic and alnico combiation on the bridge .With a bit of beer lubing up the credit card from the wallet bought one on a whim for my 7 string. figured if I dont like it will be pretty easy to move on . I am so so impressed with it I have just ordered a set for one of my 6ers

It really does feel like the best of both worlds. the bottom end keeps the ceramic tighness and definition and the top end and midrange feels alnico . doesnt have the overlly stiff and saturated thing ceramics can have up high .

just wonder if Duncan has ever tinkered with this idea of combining the two in a single humbucker ?

Which magnet is ceramic and which Alnico? Or does it matter?

It is a great idea, maybe it could make an APH-1 sound tighter, more balanced and less spongy. That could potentially be my dream pickup.
