Have new guitar with Seth Lovers - Question

Re: Have new guitar with Seth Lovers - Question

Thank you for those who have tried to interject physics into the discussion. A subjective perception is valid to a point but doesn't change the reality of what is happening electronically. When I do crossover design the same principles are involved. However.... It has nothing to do with my issue which is that the neck pickup doesn't work on this guitar, no matter what I do. You guys feel free to continue the discussion while I try to figure out my solution. Thanks to those who reminded me to try adjust PU height (duh). It did help somewhat but not enough. I may end up mixing models in this one.

Well you can use a TBX tone control which can roll off treble or bass; or only a bass cut knob. You can also remove the cover and/or change the magnet.

AlexR, Clint55, and op,
As reader of this post, I just wish to say - when I went to a 1meg pot from a 500K, there was SO MUCH treble added that
for me, it was unusable. There was so much TREBLE ADDED that THE BASS COULD HAVE BEEN LOUDER AND I WOULD NOT HAVE HEARD IT. I am not yelling, just big letters to make a point.
My PERCHIEVED POINT.

Haha! Me too. The only thing I'm liking 1 meg for is my bass.

Re: Have new guitar with Seth Lovers - Question

I've always been told that the higher the pot value, the more treble and the higher the cap value, the more bass essentially. For the OP (using this logic) I would suggest a smaller cap value (maybe .15) and/or a higher pot value for the neck, as well as lowering the neck pup's bass end.
