I'm seriously considering replacing my PU's in my axe........
I've got a Tyler Studio Elite................
Right now I've got a JB (Trembucked) in the bridge, which is a great sounding pickup but not the sound I'm looking for, from everything I've read it sounds like the Duncan EVH delivers the goods I need.
That's the easy part, the hard part is I've got 2 Dimarzio VV single coils in the middle and rhythm position. Pretty damn good sounding pickups but they have no "voodoo" very nonresponsive when it comes down to getting some interaction with amplifiers, harmonics don't jump out easily, etc.....good sound but their "behavior" sucks............
Is this kind of problem typical of most noiseless designs?
If so I'm willing to go with classic single coils hum -n- all, the voodoo is worth it in spades........
I'm seriously considering some Kinman Woodstock AVn 69's............for noiseless and I'm looking at Fralin's for standard single coils..........
Now to finally get to my question............(I'm a windbag).............
How do I make sure that the EVH and (Kinmans OR Fralins) will match well together?
Thanks in advance,
