Re: Grammy awards

Re: Grammy awards

16 Grammy awards.

Odd. I can't seem to find information about any of them.

Echofinger, it's clear you don't understand how Grammy awards work; when an album wins a Grammy, ALL the musicans who contributed to that album get the trophy.

For example, Carmine was the guitarist on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. In 1978, it won the Grammy for Album of the Year, so he won as a contributing musician.

Think of it like winning the Superbowl; the team wins, therefore all the players have won.

Hope this answers your concern.

Well put Hartley.

Guys, we've had our fun with Mr. D'Amico....how 'bout cutting him some slack, showing a little respect for a musician that's paid his dues & be a little more hospitable???

Maybe he'll stick around & share a little knowledge with us.

Re: Hello from Studio jazz rock guitarist Carmine D'Amico

I don't think anyone here is dissing his ability or credability. I think people are poking fun at him because it seems like he is here to push his site and sell guitars. I don't think that gets a very good reception here. I think we all welcome anyone with the experience and wisdom that someone like Carmine can bring to the board. I for one just don't want to feel like I'm trying to be sold on something.

:) Welcome Carmine. :)

Again: Welcome to the forum Carmine! Glad to have you aboard.

Generally, guys won't ask you a specific question. That's not how it works.

Just read what the guys are talking about or asking questions about and then jump in with an answer or insight.

That's the best way to break the ice around here and get yourself known. If you want to help out, just join in. Don't wait for someone to ask you specific question because it probably won't happen that way until they all get to know you better.

Good luck!

Nice playing on the cut you put on the tips page, BTW!

Lew

:hijacked:I was thinking about getting a Dot for a while. They seem like decent hollow bodies. I am in love with my Gibson Blueshawk. It's not really hollow body and it's not really solid body either, more of a thinline type. They also don't come in H/H, but you can mod. The neck is VERY Fender, not so Gibson. :hijacked:
