Help a Newb Wire an HSS

I have two Seymour Duncan STK-s4 single coils and aTB-4 JB Humbucker. The picture, hopefully it posts,is my obsidian wire HSS connectors layout. My question is I’m not clear where all the wires go. The single coils have red black white and ground. I get what to do with the ground but not the rest. Do I use the black and white and tape off the red for the single coils? For the humbucker the black and green go into the hot and ground but does it matter which plug the white and red go into? Thanks for any help you can give. 7FA0472A-A2F8-462A-A9A5-55218480D7D0.jpg7FA0472A-A2F8-462A-A9A5-55218480D7D0.jpg

Re: Help a Newb Wire an HSS

I thought it would be easier since I am also a newb at soldering, but not sure that’ll be the case.

Re: Help a Newb Wire an HSS

Not familiar with the Obsidian connectors, but I am sure we can figure it out.

Connect the red/white together and tape off on all three pickups.

1. Ground from the jack (usually black)
2. Hot from the jack (usually white)
3. Neck ground (green and bare together)
4. Neck hot (black)
5. Middle ground (green and bare together)
6. Middle hot (black)
7. Bridge ground (green and bare together)
8. Bridge hot (black)
9. N/A
10. N/A

The bridge ground to the "All other gnd"

Thanks for your help. I think this selector allows me to use a single coil of my humbucker. Could that be what the series link inputs are for?

Re: Help a Newb Wire an HSS

Possibly, but why split the bridge with stacked neck and middle.

You try connecting the bridge red and white to 9. and 10. That may give you a split in position 4.

Awesome thanks again for your help. I’d like to split the bottom humbucker with the neck pickup to give it a tele sound. This is going in a tele strat hybrid.
