Help changing speaker

I finally got around to Changing the 70 80 speaker in my Marshall mx112 cab with an A type speaker. When I took the back off it yanked the connections off the speaker so I couldn't see how it was originally connected. I watched a video on changing speakers and I get that the red goes to positive and black to ground but. Not sure how they were originally connected to which connection on either side just going off this video and want to make sure this is correct before plugging it in. This is my first time changing a speaker in my cab so I really appreciate the help.

if you get it wrong, it wont hurt anything, it will just change the phase of the speaker. if you are using multiple speakers (even in different cabs), this can be an issue, if youre only using one, then it doesnt really matter. some people want the speaker to "play forward" but in practice, i dont really hear a difference. if you are using multiple speakers and this one is out of phase, just switch the wires on this one to get the speakers in phase

Ok thanks I'm only working with one speaker and I have the correct negative and positive in place I just wanted to make sure I was using the correct connections, thanks for the info guys.

Man I'm glad to finally get that done! I've had that speaker under my bed for a couple months now because I didn't really know how to change the speaker and I thought that you had to remove the front and back to replace the speaker and wasn't sure how to get in the front of my cab and I was I little bit intimidated but that was super easy. I wish I would have done that sooner, now I have the confidence to change the speaker in any if my cabs. I don't know anything about hooking up more than one speaker properly like say in my 2x12 cab. If anyone has any tips or advice about hooking up multiple speakers in a cab I'd like to learn how so I'm prepared when the time comes.

write down how they are wired before you disconnect them :)

Yes that's very valuable advice, when I took the back of my cab it ripped the connections off the speaker so I guess it would be good advice to be more careful taking out the back so I don't rip the connections off the speaker.
