DC resistance? If near 16k, it could be an Allan Holdsworth with two condutors wiring. I have seen a couple of that pick up in past and always with 4 conductors. But If I am not wrong, it was a custom shop order pickup. Maybe someone asked it to custom shop with 2 conductors.

Hey folks it took me a while but finally measured the resistance... 8.64... appreciate the responses i got when posting - wondering again if anyone has a good idea what this pickup is? And if yall think it'd be better neck or bridge? Me, i like vintage kinda tone so the 8.64 is probably right up my alley... Thanks!!!!!!!

Hmm... that doesn't match any production pickups, but there is a chance that someone custom ordered a slightly overwound dual screw '59b, but that's not extremely likely.

Hey Christopher thanks for that... so it's a mystery... I'm pretty ignorant re: pickups... could this mean one of the coils isn't working so it was originally 16 but now one coil only so 8-ish? Or do these things degrade? Anyway, thanks!

Someone had that apart before and prob lost the label in the process. Could be anything really.

There's not really any way to better know what it could be unless you measured the individual coils, but it's not so easy doing that in a two conductor pickup. You'd have to mod it to have four conductors, which isn't really worth the money just to find out in my opinion. There's also the chance that it's a modded Screamin Demon with such a low reading due to the weather.
