Is there a normal production Mustang Bass pickup offering? I do not recall seeing one before, only the Custom Shop pickup. I would expect demand to be low, based on the number of Mustang basses I see. That could push it into only the Custom Shop.

Yes I'm aware it's only a custom shop pickup, I was trying to verify that it's real SD pickup maybe I should have worded it differently. I'm pretty sure it is just trying to make sure because I didn't get it from a dealer.

That's what I thought at first but it is the same kind of material that the sticker is made of and it came on a fender bass, I'm wondering if OEM pickups from the custom shop are worded the same as private orders? It's labelled as a "custom Seymour Duncan mustang bass pickup" in the specs.
i think its the stock pup that comes on the bass, i doubt it was made in the custom shop. probably just wound to the spec fender and the artist wanted on the production floor. betcha it sounds great

That makes sense. I know that it is the stock pickup on the bass but I thought it would have been the custom shop model because I'm unaware of SD having a regular floor mustang bass pickup. The measurements are close mine measures 9.6DCR and the custom shop spec is 9.5. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what pickup this is in here. Thanks for info.
Like the 78 Model, High Voltage, and Green Magic going Production, the materials and specs did not change. They are just being produced in bulk instead of as one-offs. I am confident they would have taken the same approach for the bulk production of Mustang Bass pickups.
