I agree with much of what's been said here. Here's my two cents:
These pickups both work very well in Strats. PG+ is better suited to handling various different genres and it cleans up far better than the JB, both in terms of volume-knob interaction under gain and also into a clean channel. JB is epic for lead tones & 80s rock, and it stands out well in a mix. Still, IMO the PG+ would balance far better with singlecoils in terms of output. (PG+ is not lacking for drive and body, but it's in the hot-PAF range and the JB is pretty high output.)
