Re: Help LesStrat choose a delay pedal

The local music shop is having a Labor Day sale. They already price match, and they're offering 20% off in addition. I just need to narrow it down a bit before I go shopping.

gotcha...sucky thing is, delays are expensive. at $200 or less, and with the idea that a digital delay is what you want, the only choices are either line6's or the boss DD series.

Re: Help LesStrat choose a delay pedal

See, when I use the POD, my delay has two settings:

On

Off

Re: Help LesStrat choose a delay pedal

Okay, the votes are tallied, and I actually went along with them.

C&M did not have the L6 tonecore pedals. They were out of the DL4 as well. I tried the DD6 and the Ibanez Analog Delay. They had the DD3, but I wanted taptempo, so it was ruled out. I didn't even take it out of the box.

I liked the DD6 better than the Ibanez, and it does have taptempo. It's pretty simple to use, and I can get what I want from it. Now I need to figure out the rest of it.

Oh, yes. With the sale discount (and I had to have the postcard--good thing I went back for it), I walked out the door with it for $140.80.

I almost bought a Bad Monkey, but I just couldn't justify it, despite the great price ($31.99). I already have a TS9. But I must say that Franklin liked the Bad Monkey.

I had been researching the DD20, and it just seemed too big and complicated for what I need.

Congrats on the score......that DD-6 is a good solid delay bro, I'm sure you will get on well with it.

Did the Bad Monkey suprise you? I really like mine for a light OD/boost and for $30.00, you can't hardly go wrong.

Re: Help LesStrat choose a delay pedal

I ALMOST bought it. I did call and recommend it to a friend, though.

I think it was more usable than the TS9, just because of the added eq adjustments. I dialed in a decent tone immediately, and it did not suck away the natural tone of Franklin.

I think it's a winner. But I couldn't bring myself to spend the extra $32, even though that was what I saved on the DD6 with the sale.
