Help me choose neck pick-up

I have a Std. Epi Les Paul...JB in bridge and stock in the neck. Im thinking about changing the neck because when i try to switch to middle (the bridge and neck together).....................it sounds muddy. Im looking for more bass in the neck to compensate for the JB's highs. Would the 59' or Jazz be a good choice?

I would go for the jazz. But a 59 is very good also.

I have 59 , and its a great pickup for cleans. But i hear brilliant things about the jazz!
