Je suis des Etats Unis, mon ami. Je parle un peu du Français. En français, l'accent circomeflex (ê) as eté pour quand un "s" as eté voici en vieux français. This probably made zero sense, but I'm trying my best. Is the circomeflex in Portuguese symbolic for anything? 'Cause what I was trying to say is that in old medieval French the "ê" or anything with the housetop (circomeflex) on top of it means that there used to be an "s" after it. For instance, "fêter" (to celebrate) was "Fester" in old French (and we get our words "fesival," "festive," etc. from that old word.
