I would go with the tele, just b/c I really like the tones. Go for it.

since the pickups blow, what SDs would you recommend? I saw a picture of gilby clarke with a tele in the same color as this with the binding and it had a darker red pearloid pickguard on it that looked really cool, I might do that.
