Bridge models, to compensate for their placement on the pickguard - being further back closer towards the bridge, are a lot hotter than neck pickups.
Putting a hotter bridge model into the neck position means output overload! Because there are more lows in the bridge model (bridge position is bright)... the neck pickup will sound like mud!
Although I would say there are no rules, I wouldn't recommend it. If you're good with swapping pickups, you might as well give it a go - but I doubt it will come out sounding like you want it to!
