It's been documented that EVH gave a black and yellow Charvel, "the guitar from Van Halen II", to Rita, Dime's wife, to have buried with him. There hasn't been any proof as to whether it was the original guitar or one of his new Charvel Reissues. Considering how EVH was choked up at Dime's funeral, and played a Voicemail Dime left on his cell phone, from his cell phone, and didn't delete it, I'm suspecting it was the original bumblebee Charvel that was buried with Dime.

If you want EXACT EVH copy bodies and necks, go on e-bay and looks for a vendor called customguitarwoods. I just bought a body and neck off them, the neck feels exactly like my Music Man Axis, and the body is dead on and flawless. I'll post pics shortly on my korina bodied baretta.

I researched the guy from the Van Halan guitar replica web sites, supposedly he's been doing these bodies for 20 years. Hell of a great guy and stands by his product. The body and neck are dead on for any 5150 pics I've seen. I'll post pics once I get the guitar setup

I read somewhere that Ed had given Dime a new Charvel copy backstage at a VH Concert that was B&Y.... Dime and his Brother had flown to a VH gig in 2004 and met Eddie for the first time....

If you want EXACT EVH copy bodies and necks, go on e-bay and looks for a vendor called customguitarwoods.

That name doesn't come up on any ebay searches I ran. :33:

Custom Woods is the company, I´m pertty sure they have a non-eBay website.

The second pot we´ve speculated to death on usacharvels... general concensus is that with the way eddie liked /likes to misinform people about his gear that it was hooked up but not known... Had he wanted people to know / think it was there, he´d have probably mounted it and left it unconnected

And yes, this guitar supposedly lies w / Dime.

Thanks for the pot info.. i bet the tone pot is there because Eddie hated the brightness of that guitar with the humbucker being so close to the bridge....

I have an idea of making a non floyd version of this guitar oneday... Like it was originaly.... is there any places that sell 6 screw Charvel style bridges.... they are not the same as Fenders...

Works just fine, if you´ll read the site that comes up instead of just complaining...

What this nmeans as to whether the company still exists or not: No idea
