Hi guys, I'm new in this forum. I can't google search it so I think I made a right choice to ask here

Wiring a HH - 3 way toggle - 1 pole 5 way rotary - Volume

Is it possible on middle position, the rotary becomes activated then I can choose what 5 types of phasing / pickup combination I want? I want to make my guitar more versatile. I just saw this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGFtq0Kx7BI and I was blown away. I wish I could do that on my guitar.

I just want 5 types of pickup combination for the rotary: Both H, Neck H + Inner side of neck pup, Outside Coils, Inner Coils, Outside neck pup + inside neck pup.

I think the RK tele have this option, but it only have 2 way rotary switch.

I hope someone respond in this thread! Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

A typical Switchcraft-style three-way toggle selector switch is a simple either/both affair. It operates by, effectively, deselecting the pickup that you do not want by parting two sprung leaf contacts.

To get exactly what you describe requires a different type of switch.

To get something that seems like what you describe is possible. The PRS-inspired coil combinations that you describe can be derived from a single (complex) switch. This switch directly replaces the stock three-way toggle with no need for modifying the switch cavity.

This switch is called the Freeway 3x3-03. Their website includes .pdf schematic diagrams. Just choose the one that does what you need in the order that you want to be able to do it.

I saw it. But I can't afford it. lol

I need an alternative way beside that. Richie Kotzen's Fender Tele have it
