Help.wiring an old Dimarzio PAF.

I've wired the pickups in all my guitars.... 4 conductor and 2. But for some reason, this one is throwing me for a loop. Or I'm just have a brain fart.

Black wire, white wire and bare ground? Putting this in the neck position in a Les Paul.

Bare goes to ground. Black goes to ground, white goes to output. If that's out of phase, switch black and white. It's been a while since I've used two conductor DMZs, but black usually goes to ground on two conductor pickups.

Turns out the white goes to ground.

This pickup sounds like butter, even with only 4 old dead strings, just there to keep some tension on the neck while working on it.
