He played lots of V's, he made them popular I thought. Never saw him with an LP though.

I must say, throughout the entire set, you can tell Hendrix hated that friggin SG.

"the stratocaster is the best all around guitar for the stuff we're doing. You can get the very bright trebles and the deep bass sound. I tried the telecaster and it only has two sounds, good and bad, and a very weak tone variation. The Guild guitar is very delicate but it has one of the best sounds. I tried one of the new Gibsons, but i literally couldn't play it at all, so ill stick with Fender"

I think Jimi played a white 3 pickup SG Custom on Mike Douglass or Tom-something or other, one of those late '60s early '70s talk shows. It was a lefty, if I remember right (HA!!). Only time I ever remember seeing him with an actual southpaw guitar.
