Hendrix played with L.P.'s

Re: Hendrix played with L.P.'s

It must have been so practical! That seems to me a bit ridiculuous to reverse a LP. Maybe not, after all it is like playing a dreadnought I guess.

Still, it looks wrong.

And I think an SG somewhere.

Great video.

Haven't seen him with an SG,but you know if Clapton played one,Jimi did also!:laugh2:

And then there's the wah wah that Clapton got before Hendrix.

Re: Hendrix played with L.P.'s

Hendrix played. What it was is not so important. But whatever it was - he owned it. He could have melted your face off with a plastic ukelelee from K-Mart. It's not about the instrument at that level. It's all about Jimi.

Re: Hendrix played with L.P.'s

Why didn't Jimi play a Tele? That would've been awesome.

"the stratocaster is the best all around guitar for the stuff we're doing. You can get the very bright trebles and the deep bass sound. I tried the telecaster and it only has two sounds, good and bad, and a very weak tone variation. The Guild guitar is very delicate but it has one of the best sounds. I tried one of the new Gibsons, but i literally couldn't play it at all, so ill stick with Fender"

I've also seen him with a single cut TV Special

I think Jimi played a white 3 pickup SG Custom on Mike Douglass or Tom-something or other, one of those late '60s early '70s talk shows. It was a lefty, if I remember right (HA!!). Only time I ever remember seeing him with an actual southpaw guitar.

There's a concert from like Sweden playing that one.

You can totally tell he doesn't want to be there throughout the entire thing.
