so i picked up a 1991 heritage h-150cm(cherry burst) in damn near mint condition, for a KILLER price.:bigthumb: and i want to get rid of the schaller pickups and bridge. this guitar is a little over 8lbs and has good resonance. so here is my question .

#1 tonepros bridge and tail: chrome or nickle?
#2 neck pickup ?
#3 bridge pickup?
pickups have to be zebra/reverse zebra (neck)
and black/double cream/zebra/reverse zebra (bridge)

i am shooting for thin lizzy/gary moore/john sykes/warren haynes kinda tone
using my Roccaforte + Marshall 1960aHW cab with celestion heritage 30's

thanks in advance for your assistance. -scott

Re: heritage h-150cm

Nickel TonePros and a set of Pearly Gates

Re: heritage h-150cm

I say nickel tone pro's bridge and a 59'/APH or 59'/Seth combo. Best of both worlds. Oh, and we need PICS

Re: heritage h-150cm

bump now with pix !!!!!!!!!!!! these are the "before" the guitar was signed by some GARY MOORE person ! :) as well as a press photo.

the upgrades to follow are tone pros bridge and locking studs in nickel, and a gotoh lightweight aluminum tailpiece
Duncan brobucker(neck) reverse zebra
Duncan brobucker(bridge)black
being made by MJ as we speak !!

this guitar has nice sustain unplugged so it should be killer with some MJ wound mojo.

I like the subtle flame, great score!

I've got nickel tone pros on mine with dbl crem pups.

You going with covered, or uncovered?

Re: heritage h-150cm

Looks nice bro, congrats :bigthumb:

Glad you are getting rid of that schaller mess they install on those things:laugh2:

Might wanna look into some Klusons too...that little bitty stock w/ the heavy grovers/schallers def has some effect on the tone!

And then ya just need a pup selector ring (I put one on immediately, to me it just ruins the aesthetics without the selector ring, but YMMV).

Nice Gary Moore sig too :D
