Looks like it would make the nut even heavier than it already is. I am always afraid that heavy stuff on the neck influences the sound.
I'm using Gotoh Allen key holders screwed into the back of the headstock, they can hold up to 4 keys, probably cheaper and more practical. That thing looks ridiculous![]()

It will definitely increase sustain, but other than that, pretty minimal change.
Someone actually sold things for this in the 80's. "Fat Heads" - maybe? Molded metal blocks one would bolt on the back of a headstock.
I really want something like this for my Wolfgang, but the headstock is too compact for itI use something similar; I forgot the brand but it was a 5-minute install.

I think they are from tone vise called keyless nut locks. I have no idea how good they are.
