Hi gang. I just did a couple of quick tunes that showcase some of my favorite tones and I figured I would share. BTW, I'm from the '80s school of rock so if you hate that sound then please avoid! :laugh2: And please feel free to comment.

Guitars used:
Strat w/ Dimarzio ProTrack (bridge), Virtual 2B (middle) and Virtual 2N (neck).

Jackson SL2H w/ Duncan JB (bridge) and '59 (neck)

Jackson PC-1 w/ Dimarzio Super 3 (bridge) and Floyd Rose sustainer (neck). HS2 middle wasn't used in any of the recordings.

Amp used:
Rocktron Pirahna preamp --> effects return of Marshall JTM30 tube combo. All were recorded at bedroom levels.

Gotta agree with you BBQ, I haven't played the Soloist in awhile so I'm really diggin' the smooth distortion and harmonics of the JB right now.

Very nice myx, Your tone made me smile, I used to have a JB in my Soloist, man you can pick that tone out of a crowd! Great playing! Let's hear some more!

Like the playing and melodies, the rhythm is pretty tinny, some lower mids would make it a bit more natural sounding. Nice chops for sure!!

Kevlar, you're right about the mix. I'll have to give it a remix to see if I can fatten things up. BTW, I checked out some of your tunes. Nice playing and the mixes sound great.

Jackson tones

I'm not a big fan on the rhythm tone, I think it could be more full.

However, your lead tone rox!

As does your playing.

Very versatile. That thing really sustains!

Lovely feel. Great riffing, and great note selection (once again )

I would try and bring the lead tone out a bit more... the playing deserves it, IMO.
