Through a good set of speakers, that comparison is super solid. Pretty much the exact differences I've always noticed between these models.
SH-4: Full sounding with punchy midrange and good dynamics. Not always the most clear sounding of the bunch, but very musical.
SH-6: Sort of like a JB with "more" of everything and a tighter, more direct response
SH-5: A very balanced and clear sounding pickup without too much emphasis in any one area, great for nearly any style
SH-8: Big response through the bottom and low-mids with a punchy, clear top.
SH-10: Kind of like a "Distortion Lite" in tonality and response with output closer to that of a JB.
