Highs and lows of NGD

Picked up a nice, used Ibanez 1570 today and planned on throwing in an old Demon I had laying around. Forgot that it had long legs and now I have a new guitar with a hole in it until I can pick something up tomorrow. The only other spare I have is an old APH1 that has long legs too.

Just buy a short legged bottom plate for the Demon.

Or mod the existing legs to be shorter.

The fretboard is a little dried out, I will take care of that when I put new strings on it. Other than that, it's a great guitar.

thats killer!! Congrats!! I have a question for the Ibanez gurus here.. Is there any diff tween the 1570 and the 570, besides name?? I have a 570

I believe the new 570s are not made in Japan anymore, while the 1570s are.

570s were replaced with 1570s.

1570s have not come with an Edge or Lo Pro Edge bridge, they've come with an Edge Pro or Edge Zero.

1570s don't have pickup rings, they are direct mount.

1570s have a Prestige Wizard, which is slightly wider at the neck pocket than the 570.

The neck does feel really wide. It takes a minute or two to get used to when switching from a strat with a 9.5 radius.

Looks hot; I didn't know the recent ones came in such a nice colour. Most I've seen are usually black or grey :banghead: (except the late 80s ones, of course).

Yeah, thats PERFECT! Thanks! Glad I have one with the slimmer neck then. how dif are the Edges vs edge pro? Mine is a 1990. made in Japan with an Edge.
