sorry to hear of your plight man. make sure you list these on TGP, more chance of them moving quickly on there.

Good luck!

Re: Hitting the wall sale

That's an awful situation man, I'm really sorry it came to this. I wish you all the luck in the world. If I had any money myself I'd try to help out but :dunno:

Re: Hitting the wall sale

Sorry you're going thru this, bro. We lost our house last year. May you fare better than we did.

Re: Hitting the wall sale

Maybe less political commentary would help your sale.

Dude, he's quoting Thomas Jefferson. It's history, man, it's history!

Not what they were talking about. I had stuff about my wife working for a health insurance co and she got nuked by OBAMA care. That was not political just raw truth it killed her job!

Not how I understood your original post, I thought she worked for a hospital. If that was the case:

No, her employer found someone to do her job for half the money. Trade schools have been pumping out way too many nurses the last few years and they're willing to work for much less.

If she worked for an insurance company, that doesn't ring true either. Insurance companies are going to be picking up 30 million new customers over the next few years.

Health Care reform was win-win for the insurance companies, and a win for the hospitals as well, as now they'll be collecting insurance money for everyone that comes in, rather than sending out bills and hoping that people pay them.

Whether or not you agree with Health Care reform as passed, it didn't affect her job, unless she was a lobbyist.

Re: Hitting the wall sale

Don't want to get political here so I will make it simple. My wife worked for a Co. that was a private administrator for medicare in the insurance industry. She was indeed replaced by someone who was green and made about half as much.
The current Federal Health Care Bill did directly affect my wife's employment and has the entire Health Care industry currently scared out of their ever loving wits. MANY health care workers right now are having a devil of a time finding work. As a direct result in a few more weeks I may be living in my Volvo.

So the bill that was passed at the end of March made her lose her job in January?

The company my dad was working for as a machinist supervisor for 14 years went under in the summer of 2000.. that was Bush's fault, right? Same logic.

She lost her job because the company she was working for is greedy and is taking advantage of the current economic/employment situation. That's capitalism. How much of a bonus did the CEO get?

I feel sorry for you, I really do. I've been unemployed, my girlfriend's been unemployed, we had to sell off tons of things to pay the bills. We didn't shift blame where it didn't belong though.

Re: Hitting the wall sale

Dude, youll sell that guitar on the Carvin Forums I really think, right away. Nurses are in high demand elsewhere. Can you rent your house and relocate? There are sign on bonuses for nurses in some paces. Try my area, the hill country in texas. Its a pleasant place with lots of nice apartments.
I hope you dont part with yer baby. Keep the specs.Youll land on your feet agaion and Carvin will make you another. I too agree, but I expect 'ol bama isd a one termer and his deal will be decl;ared unconstitutional.
Best wishes most sincerely friend.

Hey Knucklehead! Why don't you get off his back or stay out of his thread?! He's selling off his prized possessions to try and stay solvent, and you're here wanting to challenge his political views? That's pretty lame! Hopefully, someone will extend a little more grace and compassion to you when your turn comes because it surely will.
