Am I the only one that thinks that is ugly as hell? To each their own.

Probably not, but some people still have the decency to not sh!t in someone else's cereal. It takes more effort to type in your response than to just pass right on by.

Everyone has a right to express their opinion. No problem with that. If everyone who had a different opinion than that of the norm kept silent, we'd still be as developed as the caveman.

As posted elsewhere around here 8 weeks became 6 months. ( thanks for the input everyone).
Reindeer Blue, set through 3 piece maple neck, 25.5" scale, ebony board, 42 mm nut, 305mm radius, thin u, 24 jumbo s.s frets, mahogany body, maple top, Floyd original, Gotoh locking tuners, Schaller strap lock, EMG 89r neck 89 bridge. P/P on volume and tone.

Came set up awesome, no need to do a thing to it, well different strings sometime.
Flawless.
The fret work is amazing, the finish is fantastic, all hardware is solid. Just a well built machine.
I use nylon straps because they don't grab my shirt, this guitar stays right where you put it, meaning well balanced, no and I mean no neck dive.
I plugged into a 6505 and a 412 and let loose in the store. What a nice sounding guitar. I generally like passive more than active but these 89's are quite nice.
As far as this guitar goes, it's a hard, metal, rock oriented unit and it does it very well. Playing through an amp not overly praised for it's clean, the frx I think will handle quieter cleaner music very easily as well. Maybe one day I'll find out. Maybe.
The neck, the whole guitar, just feels good. In fact, maybe it's the newness and the finally it's here thing, but this guitar encourages me to play like an idiot. And I mean that in the best possible way.
Well built machine.
The best I could do for pictures.View attachment 96976

Apples and burritos

That said, I agree with the sentiment you expressed. I think George Bernard Shaw said it best: “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”

Does that guitar shape work for me, not really, not my thing but I can understand it's appeal to others, I do think the color is awesome. Some people would probably think the guitars I play are too boring, or too 80s, or too ______. Am I happy for the OP and his NGD, you betcha!!! Especially after the trials he went through to bring it home.

Learning to be tactful is also what separates us from the cavemen.
