Check out this killer clip of a Mark Cameron modded Marshall 1959 reissue. Mark's mod's are superb. Simply one of the best Marshall tones I've heard!!!

Yeah, their videos were out there. "I Wanna Be Somebody" is just whacked. Blackie looks like some sort of demon the way he's perched up on that rock or whatever it is. Their live album is incredible. I still listen to it from time to time.

I always liked Chris Holmes tone. That growly, gutteral but yet bright tone. I know when I was learning those songs he was one of those guys where you had to chuck your notions on how a song might be played. He always seemed to approach the guitar differently.

Me too. He was raw and simple. Not a very fancy player, but he was clean and got the job done effectively. And he could guzzle vodka like no other....LOL. I had read that he lent Eddie the guitar that was used to record VHII. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that.

The only other guy I can think of that played like him and had a simular tone was Tracy Guns. Although tracy guns was a much better lead player.

I am fan of Headless Children.And this sound is so great!..I never heard one 800 sounds good without a mod.But some mods make them really shine!
