home/semi-pro recordists -- I need cab sims

I'm putting my virtual band together, and I need some good cabinet impulse responses. Can you post some links?

Check out GuitarHacks & Catharsis. Awesome impulses.

Oh, and God's Cab too.

Stand-alone cabinet emulation? Wild. What do you guys use in front of this?

Re: home/semi-pro recordists -- I need cab sims

I use my analog pedal called Tech 21 Oxford character series pedal :)

That into the Recabinet? Great solution, that way you're half organic half software. Definitely that adds to the "live" factor a lot. Judging by your clips, they are quite real sounding to me. For a blind test I'm not sure I could tell it was a simulation and not mic'd. Rather, I'm sure I couldn't.

As for the AMT Chameleon it worked fine with various preamps, exactly the same routing, it is just a real analogue box not a program. The only thing I missed is some onstage test but I have tested the simplified/fixed cab sim out of my P1 and it worked pretty fine. No one noticed during the gig that there is no mic before my cab. That was used for control only.

Does LePou still do vsts? Those were the good cab emulators in the late 00s when I was was all digital. I like the entire Revalver package for cabs, heads, etc.

I looked up LePou's page; the most recent post I saw was March '13 (I assume; the date was written in French, "6 mars 2013"). I hope he's still working.

The Catharsis Fredman site is a dead link, but I got the Fearcomplexmusic Orange cab 3-mic IR from a Dropbox link on YouTube.
